摘要
We report an improved method to produce uniform Ag nanorods based on the soft-templates method and to greatly decrease the amount of shape impurities, with the assistance of sodium salicylate. This method is convenient to obtain Ag nanorods with uniformity and controlled aspect ratio. Furthermore, we explain why sodium salicylate plays a key role in improving uniformity of Ag nanorods. Besides, the aspect ratio of Ag nanorods can be tuned effectively by changing the amounts of seeds and sodium salicylate.
