Discussion on special problem solutions for relay protection in microgrid

As the representative of renewable energy, wind/solar grid-connected generator has an emerging deep impact on the distribution system. The domestic and foreign engineering and academic circles pay considerable attention to the research of microgrid. A conclusion is first put forward that the internal short circuit current is provided by micro power supply through the analysis of the microgrid formation way. Then, the microgrid protection faces special problems are put forward too, which are poor selectivity, low sensitivity and easy taking off from the network caused by micro power. Based on the local information and multi-ground information, the microgrid protection research status is inducted and analyzed. The key technology, implementation scheme and further research ideas are discussed for solving the problems faced by microgrid protection.
