A carbon paste electrode containing carrageenan-embedded sol-gel was prepared at low temperature, thus a strong-negative and renewable amperometric transfeerin immunosensor has been constructed. Through electrostatic interaction of positive and negative charge, transfeerin antibodies were immobilized on the surface of the electrode. The experimental parameters such as the composition of electrode, working potential, pH of substrate, the concentration of HPR-transfeerin and incubation time have been optimized. An amperometric detection at - 234 mV (vs. SCE) results in a linear detection range of 1.5 similar to 60 mg/L, with a detection limit of 1.5 mg/L. The immunosensor was applied to the determination of transferring in the serum sample with satisfactory results.
