摘要

The alloying effects, short range ordering, point defect concentration and site occupancy were studied using the first principles calculations, and their influence on the strength and creep of titanium based materials was discussed. The nucleation of deformation twins and dislocations in TiAl was investigated using atomistic simulations. The α/β transformation in a titanium alloy was simulated using phase field method to study the evolution of the microstructure. Finite element simulations were carried out to optimize the hot extrusion of TiAl alloys. Results of these investigations provided an important clue for understanding of the properties of titanium based alloys.
