Development of pid and fuzzy logic controller simulator for control systems education

摘要

In this study, the simulators consisted of three different systems were prepared in order to enable students to understand more easily the control methods used in control systems. These systems consist of controlling of liquid level in a tank, permanent-magnet dc motor speed control and controlling of a system of which transfer function is determined by user. In control of liquid level and dc motor speed, it is possible to make a choice between PID and fuzzy logic as a controller. In transfer function simulator, the PID controller and its combinations may be used. Students can change both the rules of fuzzy logic controller and the shape and definition ranges of its membership functions as they wish. In the PID controller, its effect on the system may be observed by changing the coefficients. By ensuring the control of different systems with so established visual and flexible simulators, simulators that will enable students to understand more easily the control systems were established.
