摘要

The problem of static loading of the eye cornea by a flat stamp modeling an applanation tonometer is solved. The eye is treated as the composition of a soft shell (cornea) and an elastic element, which includes the sclera and tissues surrounding it, under the action of an internal pressure. The function determining the dependence of the intraocular volume on the intraocular pressure and the load applied is calculated. It is shown that over a wide range of physiologically admissible parameter values the dependences of the intraocular volume on the pressure at a fixed load and of the pressure on the load at a fixed volume are almost linear. The relationship between the coefficients determining these dependences is investigated. The possibility to find the elastic characteristics of the individual eye from a limited number of measurements is discussed.
