An improved network-coding-based broadcasting retransmission scheme in satellite communications

Aiming at problems of traditional satellite broadcasting retransmission scheme, high loss broadcasting retransmission approach based on network coding and maximum weight clique algorithm, an improved network-coding-based broadcasting retransmission scheme is presented. Simulation results indicate that compared with the traditional high loss broadcasting retransmission approach based on network coding, the proposed scheme solves the problem that the encoded packets can't be decoded by all receivers and the problem of the lower performance when the number of receivers is large, besides, compared with the maximum weight clique algorithm, computational overhead of the proposed scheme is low.
