摘要
With the rapid development of the Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), Accurate computing hypersonic heating is in a high demand and still remains unresolved. In this paper, we propose a new scheme called AUSMPWM2 for hypersonic heating predictions. Based on systematic theoretical analyses, this new scheme improves the AUSMPWM scheme's construction of the pressure flux for low speeds. Also, it constructs the mass flux as AUSMPWM to be robust against the shock anomaly and the unphysical expansion shock. Series of numerical experiments show that AUSMPWM2 is robust against the shock anomaly and avoids the expansion shock's appearance. Also, it is capable of obtaining physical solutions at low speeds. Moreover, it is with a much higher level of accuracy in hypersonic heating predictions. These properties suggest that AUSMPWM2 is promising to be widely used to accurately and efficiently simulate both simple and complex flows.
