摘要

The control of two stage matrix converters (TSMC) becomes simple when carrier-based modulation strategy is adopted, however, narrow pulses may appear and there exists security risk when the input power factor is low if no limitation is provided. This paper deals with narrow pulse problems when traditional carrier based modulation strategy is adopted at first, then solves the problem that negative voltage is to appear at the DC side when input power factor is low, thus the limitation of input power factor angles eliminated. The feasibility of the proposed method is verified through experimental results.
