摘要

An experimental investigation was carried out to achieve engineered infilled frames. For this, a frictional sliding fuse was applied horizontally in a steel fibre reinforced concrete infilled steel frame. Six 1/3 scale single-storey single-bay concrete infilled steel frames having frictional sliding fuse were tested by displacement-controlled cyclic loading. The specimens were categorized into three groups: in the first group the influence of fuse sliding strength on the behaviour of the infilled frames was studied through three specimens. The second group had two specimens, in which the influence of the infill top gap on the behaviour of fused infilled frames was studied. The last group had one specimen, studied to find the effects of fuse number and situation. High stability of such infills was confirmed by transversal loading of three specimens transversally, after being failed by in-plane loading. Each of these specimens belonged to one of the aforementioned groups. Based on the results, the infills, provided with frictional sliding fuse, can be considered as engineered elements, regarding their high ductility, transversal stability and capability of being adjusted for desired strengths.
