Determination of human absorbed dose of cocktail of Sm-153/Lu-177-EDTMP, based on biodistribution data in rats

摘要

The aim of this work was to estimate the absorbed dose due to compositional radiopharmaceutical of (SM)-S-153/Lu-177-EDTMP in human organs based on biodistribution data of rats by using OLINDA/EXM software. The absorbed dose was determined by the Radiation Dose Assessment Resource (RADAR) formulation after calculating cumulated activities in each organ. The results show that the organs that received the highest absorbed dose were the bone surface and red marrow (1.51 and 7.99 mGy/MBq for Sm-153, and 1.98 and 10.76 mGy/MBq for Lu-177, respectively). According to the results, using of cocktail of Sm-153/Lu-177-EDTMP has considerable characteristics as compared to Sm-153-EDTMP and Lu-177-EDTMP alone.
