摘要

A valuable rhyme collection book, Yinyun Huayi (Unification of rhyme tables), was discovered recently in the library of Taiwan Normal University. Since its discovery, we carried out a research on its time period of compilation. Yang Zhiti , author of the book, shows us in a great deal his unique phonological thoughts and systematic rhyme terms. Yinyun Huayi-gro LI shows a typical southwest Mandarin phonology, namely, the sound system of nowadays Shehong County (Sichuan Province, China). We compared the book rhymes with two surveys of Shehong dialect and explored the sound changes of Shehong dialect over the past century.
