摘要

In different Confucian tendencies lifelong learning is considered to help every human to reach complete morality. The right way of learning shall be accompanied by a constant concern (Youlu) for one's own educational process. To avoid interruptions in learning, Confucian authors recommend supporting learners through discipline, and providing insight and aesthetic education in order to constantly learn with joy. This combination of learning and care shows affinities and differences to the European - not least the German - concepts of education and upbringing. However, due to educational reforms, the traditional combination of learning and care has currently lost its importance. The connection between the two concepts is threatened by the reducing of care structures in education to fear.
