摘要
An in situ DRIFTS study of the adsorption and oxidation of CO on the Au/SnO2 catalyst prepared by a coprecipitation method was presented. The results indicated that (1) at relatively low-temperature, CO adsorbed on the catalyst reacted with the surface lattice oxygens and hydroxyl groups to form carboxylate, which further reacted with the surface lattice oxygens and hydroxyl groups to form carbonate at relatively high temperature. (2) O-2 mainly acted as an activator for the reaction of CO with the surface lattice oxygens and hydroxyl groups, but it did not participate directly in the formation of carboxylate and carbonate.
