Chorisia glaziovii O. Kuntze, a species native to Northeast Brazil, belonging to the family Malvaceae is widely used in tradicional medicine, in the restoration of the landscape and in the tapestry. In the valuation of seed vigor, the accelerated aging test is one of the options available, but there is enough information on their effectiveness for seeds of the forest species, such as C. glaziovii. The study%26apos;s aim with this experiment to evaluate the behavior of seed lots of C. glaziovii subjected to accelerated aging test. In the experiment we used a completely randomized design with treatments arranged in a 4 x 3 factorial, with three lots and four accelerated aging periods (0, 24, 48 e 72 hours). Seeds were kept in gerbox with 40 mL of distilled water in a BOD chamber, at 41 degrees C. Seeds were tested for moisture content, % of germination, emergence, speed of germination and emergence before and after aging. The results showed that the accelerated aging for 48h at 41 degrees C is effective in the separation of seeds lots of C. glaziovii levels of vigor may.
