摘要
We study the qualitative dynamical behavior of nonexpansive homeomorphisms f of locally compact metric spaces and of compact connected Riemannian manifolds. We show how the dynamical properties of such homeomorphisms are concentrated on the limit set on which f acts as a global isometry. Next we focus on the Euclidean setting where an explicit description of such dynamics is given.
