摘要

A bacterium strain was isolated from manganese-electrolysed slag, named as Serratia sb. CJB bacteria (FJ545753.1) after identified by DNA sequence and phylogenetic tree analysis, and then explored for the biosorption capacity to manganese(11) in manganese-containing wastewater under different environmental conditions including contact time, system temperature, initial concentration of Mn(2+) in medium, inoculum concentration and initial pH value. The result showed that a higher biosorption ratio (96.8%) of manganese on this bacteria was observed when the biosorption was carried out at a contact time of 76 h, system temperature of 34 degrees C, initial concentration of Mn(2+) -0.5 g/l, inoculum concentration of 2% (v/v), incubator rotation speed of 150 rpm and at pH 6.0. Because of its low cost, environment friendliness and better efficiency, the biosorption technique will have a significant impact on manganese pollution mitigation.
