Hybrid materials as catalyst support in NO reduction with CO

摘要

A hybrid material from diatomite and activated carbon is prepared and modified by aluminum. On the basis of the unmodified and modified hybrid materials are synthesized Cu-supported catalysts by impregnation with different types of solution. The obtained supports and catalysts are characterized by XRD, XPS and SEM. The texture parameters are determined by low-temperature nitrogen adsorption. The activity of the prepared catalysts is studied in the reduction of NO with CO. The investigated catalysts are active in the temperature interval 298-573 K. It is found that modified hybrid material is more suitable as catalyst support for this reaction, due to the changed aprotonic and protonic acidity. The most active catalyst in the reaction of NO with CO is prepared by ammoniacal solution.
