摘要

The superplastic deformation of the TiAl intermetallic compound has been investigated. It is shown that under hot roling TiAl exhibits superplastic deformation at T = 1 100 degrees C and epsilon = 5 x 10(-4)s(-1), and its maximum elongation is 340%. The strain rate sensitive exponent changes within the range of 0.4 similar to 0.7 during the superplastic flow. Analysis by optical microscopy and transmission electron microscopy show that the superplastic mechanism under hot rolling is dynamic recrystallization.
