摘要
It is an important method to implement the interactivity of VOD system by segmenting a movie into several parts with equal length for its storage or play in general. In the paper, a novel approach is proposed that can equally segment the product of interval and frequency of VCR-Requests arrival according to statistic sum of VCR (Video cassette recorder) operation in certain step width in a period of time. So it can obtain an unequal segmentation for video program in chron axis. The algorithm has good adaptability and learning intelligence, and it is feasible and efficient, as verified by performance analysis and simulation experiment in the paper.
