摘要
A procedure based on the well-known K-matrix formalism is presented, which makes patterns in inelastic regions of low-energy scattering data considerably more transparent. It relies on the use of an empirical kernel, obtained by eliminating elastic loops from the experimental amplitude. This allows structures associated with resonances, such as locations, widths, and heights, to become visible with the naked eye. The method is illustrated with a study of the P-wave K pi amplitude.
