摘要
In this paper, we propose that two-dimensional photonic crystals can be employed in some kinds of polarization beam splitters due to their strong dielectric anisotropy. Numerical experiments with several examples have been carried out, and the results obtained support our opinion. We expect that two-dimensional photonic crystal polarization beam splitters will have important applications in some areas such as integrated optical circuits.
