Hesitant fuzzy set and soft set are two new mathematical tools which have been used successfully to deal with vagueness and uncertainties. In this paper, we propose a new hybrid model named hesitant fuzzy soft set by combining hesitant fuzzy set and soft set, which can be viewed as an extension of many existing models, such as hesitant fuzzy set, soft set, fuzzy soft set, interval-valued fuzzy soft set and multi-fuzzy soft set. Some operations on hesitant fuzzy soft set are defined and some properties of those operations are also discussed. Furthermore, an algorithm is presented by using union operation and generalized comparison table on hesitant fuzzy soft set, an application of hesitant fuzzy soft set in group decision making is shown.
