Analysis of time-hopping UWB interference effect on GPS receivers

摘要

The extremely low input power of GPS receivers make it easy to be interfered by the ultra-wideband (OB) signals. The system model is proposed to discuss the properties of TH-UWB signals both in time and frequency domain. The interference generating from two distinct modulation schemes, Pulse position modulation (PPM) and pulse amplitude modulation (PAM) of TH-UWB signals on GPS receivers is analysed. Based on the theory, the simulation of power spectral density (PSD) with different parameters of TH-PPM UBW signals are represented, from which we can draw a conclusion that pulse repetition frequency (PRF) is not the main factor affecting GPS spectrum in this model. By increasing the cardinality of TH code N-max, the discrete spectrum is well-attenuated.
