摘要

Preliminary experimental tests on a close-looped micro jet cooling system for high power LEDs were conducted. The test results and simple analysis demonstrate that the system have room for improvement. In order to improve the system, numerical simulation was used for structrual optimization. The simulation model was compared with the experimental results to prove the feasibility of this model. By using the simulation model, two kinds of micro jets were investigated, it is found that the micro jet that has one single inlet and two outlets can achieve good cooling effect. Compared with the present cooling system in the experimental prototype, the maximal temperature of LED substrate cooled by the optimized micro jet cooling system was 23 K lower.
