Dispersed fluorescence spectrometry from the VIS to VUV spectral range for experiments at heavy-ion storage facilities

摘要

For the electronic- and charge-state specific determination of VUV-VIS fluorescence emission cross sections after collisions between heavy ions and neutral gases or electrons a fluorescence spectrometer for the VUV-VIS spectral range is planned. Tentative experiments showed that signal rates after collisions between Xe atoms and Xe54+ ions are high enough to allow efficient experiments.
