摘要

A metrics based tasks analysis model is proposed for design review. The model attempts to get the relative degree of importance of each task in order to provide a reference for planning the upcoming design projects under limited resource circumstance. The model suggests that the degree of importance of a task can be measured through the critical degree, the likelihood of error occurrence, and the spread degree of the task. A task-influence factor table is introduced to compute the critical degree of each task, in which the critical degrees of different tasks under different criteria are all considered. The likelihood of error occurrence can be detected from three aspects. First, is there any novel technique applied in the task. Second, how much related task experience is possessed by the designers. Third, how many failures are there in the first iteration (before any review process) of similar history tasks in the database. Finally, the spread degree of a task denotes the delay to the whole project caused by the failure of this task, which can be determined by the technology dependence and the amount of work involved in tasks.
