摘要

The use of optimization in a simulation-based design environment has become a common trend in industry today. This article illustrates that how truss structural optimization problems is being solved by interior point trust region method (IPTRM). As a possible way, primal-dual interior point method could optimize the structure by multiple centrality modifications with trust region sub-problems. Through these series of correction, the algorithm's convergence has been improved progressively. Moreover, IPTRM verifies the classical truss structures with the conclusion that it is more reliable and efficiency than any other algorithm when meet the certainly accuracy level, especially, when time is the constraint, IPTRM seems to be the superior solution for large optimization problems.
