Acetic acid decomposition by the Fenton method

AcOH was oxidized with Fenton reagent in aq. solns. (0.4-8.3 g/L) at pH 1-5 and room temp. The process was followed by detg. COD. A substantial decrease in AcOH concn. (down to 80%) was achieved.
