摘要

The finite element method is a numerical method which can be used for the accurate solution of complex engineering problems. The automatic mesh generation obviously has a practical value in reducing errors and the time involved in data preparation. For two-dimensional problems, triangular elements are most widely employed to electromagnetic field. By using the finite element analysis method for the two dimensional case, the automatic mesh generation technique combined with the specific motor is developed. The computer functional subroutines to implement this are briefly described. The application results of this technique to a rare-earth permanent magnet d.c. motor with rectangle slots are presented, which is displayed in the environment of Auto CAD software package conveniently.
