摘要

The present paper is devoted to the investigation of the stability of an infinitely long strut, lying on a continuous elastic foundation. The material of the strut is characterized by nonlocal viscoelastic properties. The strut is compressed by a longitudinal force, constant or changing periodically with time. The stability is understood in Liapunov sense. The effect of parameters, characterizing nonlocalness of viscoelastic properties of the material and of the force on the stability of the strut, is explored. This analysis is performed with help of the top Liapunov exponent.
