摘要

Porcelain fused to metal crown (PFM) is widely used in dental restoration for its esthetics. Due to its excellent corrosion resistance, biocompatibility and mechanical properties, commercially pure titanium (c.p. Ti) and Ti-6Al-4V alloy have dramatically improved dental implants and prosthesis, despite the insufficient bond strength of titanium to porcelain. This study investigated the bond strength of new Ti-5Cr-xMo (x = 1-11 wt.%) alloys and low-fusing dental porcelain (Duceratin Plus, DeguDent Gmbh, Germany), and c.p. Ti and Ti-6Al-4V alloy were compared. The results show that Ti-5Cr-9Mo alloy has the highest bond strength (37.67 MPa), a result that is higher than that of c.p. Ti (30.72 MPa) and Ti-6Al-4V (30.01 MPa).
