Live demonstrations are essential for the learning and the training in digestive endoscopy. Guidelines have been published by the US and European societies of digestive endoscopy (ASGE, ESGE) which precise the conditions of realization of these live demonstrations. Moreover, several studies have shown that the risk for the patient was not increased during these live demonstrations if all the ethical, organisational and patients management rules were strictly observed. Many endoscopic techniques, which are now widely used, have benefited from these demonstrations for their diffusion among our colleagues. We present here the ethical and technical charter of the SFED annual meeting, Video-Digest, who describes in details all the organization of this live demonstration.
