摘要

The ratio of Cl-36/Cl can determine the exposure age of surface rocks and monitor the secular equilibrium of Cl-36 of sedimentary and igneous rock in groundwater. Due to the uncertainty effects of different chemical separation processes for removing S-36, there is a high degree of uncertainty in Cl-36 accelerator mass spectrometry (AMS) measurements if the ratio of Cl-36/Cl is lower than 10(-14). A Cl-36 AMS higher sensitivity measurement has been set up by using a Delta E-Q3D method at the China Institute of Atomic Energy (CIAE). The performances of Delta E-Q3D method for Cl-36-AMS measurement had been systemically studied. The experimental results show that the Delta E-Q3D method has a higher isobar suppression factor. Taking advantage of direct removing S-36, the sample preparation can be simplified and the uncertainty effects of different chemical separation processes can be reduced in Cl-36 AMS measurements.
