A New Sesquiterpenoid from Acanthopanax senticosus

From the aerial part of Acanthopanax senticosus, a new sesquiterpenoid, guai-6-en-4 beta,10 alpha,15-triol (1), was isolated. Its structure was characterized by extensive spectral methods, including 1D, 2D NMR, and HR-ESI-MS. The cytotoxicity against HL-60 and HeLa of the new compound was tested.
