摘要

Nanorod-shaped Zn2GeO4, an efficient photocatalytic hydrogen-evolving catalyst, have been facilely prepared in high yield by a simple hydrothermal synthesis route. Based on the experimental results, an interesting synthetic strategy is realized and that the prismatic Zn2GeO4 nanorods prepared in a stoichiometric ratio exhibited much higher H-2-producing activity than the Zn2GeO4 nanorods prepared in the excess germanium, which possibly provided a clue for exploring the surface structure relationships of Zn2GeO4 single crystals and their intrinsic chemical properties.
