摘要

This paper presents a new topology proposal for wind turbine using an electromagnetic frequency regulator - EFR. One of the most important aspects in the wind energy conversion into the power system is the speed control, using for this purpose, in some topologies, mechanical gearboxes. These boxes often represent sources of noise and defects; they also have a short service life. The EFR presents itself as a new technology for wind turbines, to replace the traditional transmission box, being composed by an adapted induction machine, where the stator of the machine, as we know it, becomes mobile, supportive/connected to the turbine shaft. The aim of this article is to validate, through simulation, the efficiency of the proposed system. The simulations have shown positive results, validating the proposal.
