Analysis on static performances of smeared cracking model for concrete in ABAQUS

摘要

To evaluate the capacity of the smeared cracking model for concrete in the finite element software ABAQUS and analyze the mechanical properties of concrete materials and structural components, the model was adopted to simulate the mechanical properties of the concrete under uniaxial and biaxial stress condition, and the flexural and shear properties of RC structural components. The numerical results were compared with the test data. The results show that the model can simulate the mechanical properties of the concrete material under uniaxial compression, uniaxial tension, biaxial compression, and biaxial tension and compression conditions. And the model can reflect the failure envelope of the concrete material under biaxial stress condition properly. The flexural and shear properties, as well as the typical failure modes of RC structures can also be predicted by the model. However, the model cannot predict the mechanical properties of the concrete material under biaxial tension condition, and the development law of the volume strain of the concrete.
