摘要

Two ion selective membrane electrodes were prepared based on the ionic liquids [BMIm]Br and [BMIm]BF4 as ion exchangers in a plasticized PVC matrix. These electrodes exhibit fast, Nernstian responses over a wide concentration range. The selectivity coefficient, detection limit, and calibration slope were determined for the electrodes. The proposed sensors were also utilized to obtain the mean activity coefficients of the studied ionic liquids in water using potentiometry. The data were correlated by the Pitzer and extended Debye-Huckel models.
