摘要

This study introduces the lens model approach to find a possibility of checking the relativity of computer-based applications in terms of users%26apos; responses and applies it to a real case with online bookstores. The case study was conducted in two Viewpoints: the relationship between expected usability and user performance and the relationship between pre-use preference and post-use preference. The first is to examine how much users%26apos; perceptions of usability before actual use match performance measures in a real usability testing, and the second is to determine how strongly pre-use preferences and post-use preferences were connected. Through the lens model approach to this case study, we could discuss the possibility of predicting users%26apos; post-use responses for the online bookstore web sites without a direct usability testing. This approach can be utilized as bases for developing a simple heuristic method to quickly evaluate users%26apos; responses in a limited time and can be applied to various user interface and user experience issues such as decision-making in human-computer interactive systems.
