A solvent-free procedure for synthesis of N-sulfonylimines catalyzed by Zr(SO4)(2)center dot 4H(2)O/SiO2 solid acid under microwave irradiation

A manipulative simple and rapid procedure for the synthesis of N-sulfonylimines from aldehydes with sulfonamides was described. The reaction was conducted under microwave irradiation conditions in the absence of solvent using Zr(SO4)(2)center dot 4H(2)O/SiO2 Solid acid as catalyst. This solid acid is cheap, highly-active, chemically green and reusable.
