China is one of the worst affected countries by natural disasters in the world, especially the major natural disaster which happened in recent years serious damaged to our country's economic construction and social development. At the same time as the fastest growing country and the most populous country in the world, all kinds of public unexpected incidents are threatening the harmonious development of the society. So improving emergency rescue system and emergency rescue system has become China government's long-term and arduous task. Make sure emergency supplies timely and efficiently has become a top priority. Research for emergency supply chain is urgent. But the most work in the field of emergency supply chain is aimed at emergency logistics, not a comprehensive and systematic research.
This paper expounds the definition of emergency supply chain, analyzes the structure and characteristics of the emergency supply chain. Then explain the definitions of emergency supply chain risk from the broad sense and narrow sense, and analyzes the emergency supply chain risk sources and the composition factors, lay the foundation for emergency supply chain system.
