摘要

We propose and demonstrate a voltage-controlled frequency-tunable optoelectronic oscillator based on a dispersion-induced microwave photonic filter (MPF), which is implemented with a carrier phase-shifted double sideband modulation in a dual-parallel Mach-Zehnder modulator (DPMZM), a linear chirped fiber Bragg grating and a polarization multiplexed composite cavity. By simply adjusting the DC bias voltage of the DPMZM, the central frequency of the dispersion-induced MPF is shifted and the oscillation frequency of optoelectronic oscillator can be tuned. A detail theoretical analysis is provided, which is validated by a proof of concept experiment.
