摘要

Imaging is important in the management of dementia. Brain MRI, including 3D T1 with coronal reconstructions, FLAIR, T2, T2* and diffusion images is recommended for the diagnosis of dementia. Metabolic imaging - perfusion with SPECT or MRI, or glucidic metabolism with PET - is helpful in atypical dementia. The development of new tracers of amyloid beta, tau protein or neuroinflammation, and new MRI techniques, allow a better understanding of the dementia physiopathology. In addition, the combined PET-MRI system, synergizing the two imaging methods has a great potential in dementia.
