摘要

Hollow carbon nanospheres (HCS) were rationally designed and applied as polysulfide matrix materials for Li-S. The electrochemical performance of the resultant Li-S batteries was significantly enhanced. As revealed by thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), modified HCS-3/S composites prepared by a hydrothermal method at a KOH to HCS weight ratio of 5: 1 showed sulfur content of 68 wt%. The Li-S battery prepared herein achieved optimum performance with a high initial capacity of 1171.5 mAh g(-1). The cycle decay was limited to 0.13% per cycle (100 cycles) at 0.2 C with an excellent coulombic efficiency of ca. 95%.
