摘要

Transbording represents the action in which the traveler changes the transport line because he cannot longer approach his target with- out switching to another means of transport. In some cases, the dis- tance toward the target cannot be reduced because the first means of transport has reached the end of the line on which it operates. Transbording is perceived as such a common action that it regarded as an essential field by those who organize the transport process, while the passengers regard it as an unavoidable "evil". The excessive frag- mentation of traveling is an upsetting phenomenon for the passengers and prejudicial for the transport operators. By eliminating this frag- mentation it is often possible to improve the system without expensive investments. Considering this idea as a starting point, we will present in the following a procedure of optimizing travels, referring directly to transbording in Romanian railway transport network
