摘要

Co-doped SnO2 nanoparticles have been prepared by co-precipitation method. The thermal annealing of the nanoparticles was carried out in different atmospheres at 500 degrees C. The effects of annealing atmospheres on the microstructure and photoluminescence properties were investigated. Structural analyses reveal that all the samples consist of pure rutile tetragonal phase which would not change after annealing. The quality of nanoparticles is improved by thermal annealing. During the N-2 annealing, N ions incorporate the SnO2 lattice to substitute the Sn4+ site and form O-Sn-N bonding. The concentration of oxygen vacancies would be enhanced under N-2 and vacuum annealing and passivated under O-2 annealing. The orange band emission abruptly decrease its intensity after annealing in O-2.
