Analysis of characteristics of S-type surface acoustic wave device

摘要

In this paper a new S-type SAW device fabricated on 128°Y cut X LiNbO3 is reported. SAW excited by input IDT is divided centrosymmetrically into two paths detected by their output IDT. P matrix analysis method is used to develop the relationship of SAW signal propagations between input and output, which includes once time delay signal, triple reflection signal and quintuple reflection signal. At the same time, the results are compared to corresponding results of - type surface acoustic wave device. Results show that S-type SAW device can suppress triple and quintuple reflection signal effectively.
