A method for obtaining optical parameters of the diffraction grating from the ratio of symmetric-order diffraction efficiency (± 1 orders) is proposed in this paper. We have demonstrated that our method yields better results and the surface roughness of the diffractive grating has little impact on the ratio of ±1 orders diffraction efficiencies.
