摘要

We consider the scattering problem of time-harmonic electromagnetic waves from an infinite cylinder having an open arc and a bounded domain in R-2 as cross section. To this end, we solve a mixed scattering problem for the Helmholtz equation in R-2 where the scattering object is a combination of an open arc Gamma and a bounded obstacle D. The well-posedness of the solution to the direct scattering problem is established by using the boundary integral equation method and the Fredholm theory.
